Wireless Sensor Networks: Design and Optimization

The research addresses methodological and application-related issues of Wireless Sensor Networks. More specifically, the research activity focuses on the design of methodologies and algorithmic solutions related to the adaptiveness and the robustness to hardware and software faults as well as environmental and topological changes (through change detection tests and adaptive routing algorithms) and to energy management (by means of energy-aware local routing protocols, adaptive sampling, dynamic data accuracy acquisition) in WSNs.
